Connecting the classroom with real work: Shantou Polytechnic reviews internships at MinBon

The review looked beyond facilities and safeguards to a more important question: can students build real skills and understand the industry through authentic software development and customer-service work at MinBon?

On March 7, 2024, a Shantou Polytechnic delegation visited MinBon as part of its review of student internship hosts.

The review covered student responsibilities, the work environment, safety, and everyday support. For MinBon, an internship is not simply a seat in the office; it should give students guided access to authentic software and customer-service work.

In apparel digitalization projects, students must understand more than code or a product feature. They begin to see factory orders, production coordination, and customer requirements—an experience that connects technical learning with business reality.

MinBon will continue working with local colleges on guidance and communication, bringing teaching closer to industry needs and helping more young people see technology careers that combine software with manufacturing in their home region.
